LOBiS
It is a device for data reading from electricity meters via optical communication interface with protocols IEC 62056-21 and DLMS/COSEM. The device is designed to communicate with PC, Notebook, PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) with Windows CE and Windows Mobile OS or even mobile phones equipped with Bluetooth interface and the Java application support.

LOBiS is fully compatible with data reading and parameterization software by ELGAMA-ELEKTRONIKA:
- LZPEMS
- QUADRcom
- QuadrPPC
- GamaLink

- Firmware upgrade via Bluetooth interface;
- Integrated flash light for meter menu control
- Multicolour LED for device status indication.

Optical head with USB interface OKK5.5 is made according to IEC 62056-21 standard requirements and is designed for meter communication with personal computer through standard USB1.1 interface. Optical head is used for local meter reading and programming.

Each electricity meter has a photo-sensor, which is mounted on the nameplate for recall of meter's data during the manual work with LCD. The recall of data on LCD is available by means of short and long light impulses, generated by a special compact flash light.

Backup power supply unit

The purpose of the backup power supply unit AC_DC/DC is to supply power for electricity meter EPQS, when the power supply from electricity network fails or meter is disconnected from it and the metering data has to be read-out from the meter.
The backup power supply input of the electricity meter EPQS use no more than 200 mA of current. The reserve power source attached to the meter lets display data in the LED indicator or read-out stored metering data to the PC via optical or current loop interfaces.
